Looking for a job as an executive function coach? Intentional Students is hiring 3rd-12th grade coaches and college and adult coaches!

3RD-12TH GRADE COACHES

Description Overview
  • More than ever, students are struggling to keep up with the demands of academics and extracurricular activities. Missing homework, poor test scores, and arguments in the household over a lack of organization and poor study habits are increasingly common. Many students lack the tools needed to succeed, and struggle through school without an understanding of what it takes to be a good student.
  • In this executive function (EF) coaching role, you will help students ranging from grade 3-12 master EF skills (organizing, planning, prioritizing, managing time, and maintaining focus) in order to promote academic success as well as social and emotional well-being in school and at home.
  • A great EF Coach always takes a holistic approach–taking all aspects of life into consideration. Understanding that the demands of school, extra-curricular activities, and family life are intrinsically interconnected with social-emotional health is a key attribute of our coaches.
  • The coach will communicate with parents to keep them informed of progress to mastery.
Hours
  • 2-8 hours/week (Typically our clients meet at the same time each day)
  • Minimum caseload of 4 clients (approximately 2 hours a week per client, including indirect contact hours)
  • Hours of operations 3pm-6.30pm (across multiple US time zones)
Benefits of the Job
  • Excellent compensation
  • Flexible schedule (hours are set by the coach)
  • Bonus referral program
  • Supportive admin team
  • Mentorship and professional development with the founder of Intentional Education Group, Elana Campbell
  • Job Type: Part-time
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who will thrive working with clients virtually, in a one-to-one setting. Successful candidates will have an understanding of executive function skills, and can articulate the value of those skills. Experience working with neurodivergent individuals is a plus. Developing meaningful and respectful connections is the core of this program–a candidate must excel at establishing these relationships with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Master’s degree in Education, Teaching, Special Education, or Behavioral Analysis highly preferred
  • Master’s degree candidates in Educational Therapy, Counseling, or related fields will be considered
  • Minimum 10 years experience in teaching, academic advising, or intervention work
  • Must be knowledgeable in the areas of ADHD, learning disabilities, processing issues and the impact of executive function skills
The Ideal Candidate
You are great match for this role if you:
  • Love teaching and coaching people
  • Are a great problem solver
  • Look for “what’s missing” and get to the root of issues
  • Aren’t happy unless things are organized
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Pride yourself on your strong communication skills
  • Take the initiative and are able to adapt and intervene quickly
