Jen Cohen always knew that her career would involve helping kids in some way. She earned a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. From there, she returned home to Phoenix, Arizona and began working at Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center as a Clinical Behavior Interventionist. In that role, she worked with autistic kids and adults of all ages and their families, as a parent trainer. This experience sparked her passion for helping students learn and grow through creative and real-world experiences. She earned her Master of Education with a focus in behavior from Arizona State University, and decided to bring her expertise into the general education classroom where she taught kindergarten, third, and fourth grade.
With the belief that everyone is a lifelong learner, Jen strives to provide students with the tools they need to be successful both at school and in life. She likes to focus on the importance of social-emotional learning, growth, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring students have the strategies they need to overcome life’s challenges.
