Lily Martinez is the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist at Intentional Students. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development. Lily was a lead behavior therapist for over 2 years at Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center, implementing customized skill-development programs for children with autism and ADHD. She also serves as a paraeducator in a middle school setting, providing support and special services to the students.
Lily is passionate about creating a safe and loving environment for her students. She seeks to increase a child’s confidence and advocacy, while cheering for them to be their best self. She works with children ages 3 to 13, focusing on behavior plans to meet their individual needs and personal development goals. She also serves as an academic tutor to elementary and middle school students.
Throughout the years, Lily has worked on her SEL craft through research and experience in the classroom. She merges the student's SEL and academic needs, and develops and implements an individualized plan. She is a firm believer that success in the classroom is built with tools for emotional regulation. Lily measures success by how motivated her students are to learn.
